The old wood stove was fired up this morning to take the chill outa the air. I gotta tell ya it feels good to have it running. These old bones were a touch chilly this morning when they got outa bed at 5. I can hear the wood cracking as it burns, the smell of it burning is wonderful.

full of children stopped at the end of the driveway again this morning and my kids got on it. Mama was waving goodbye to them and makin sure I was bein good. I don't think they should leave every morning so early. Oh yea that yellow thing brings em home every day too about 3:30.

cows got out this mornin' fore 7. Five of the bucky vermints took off outa the gate headed for the corn field. Jas and Pa saw 'em go. The musta rubbed the gate jes right to get it opened and pooooof they was gone...like lightin' in the sky buckin' and frolickin' away thru the grass.
Pa never once put me in my house he jes let me run an bark and worry 'em. It was so great! Mama was out there in her nightie makin' sure they din't get down the...
